Welcome To The Total War Campaign Chronicles Blog

Welcome to this Medieval II Total War Campaign Chronicles Blog by Attila

This post is an update that explains what was this blog what you can find on it, why it was created and what you should find interesting about it.

The Mission
This Blog Was created to give more contextual information around the Video created by Attila16 on youtube. The original chronicles was the Carthaginian Chronicles composed of Carthaginians campaign videos and battles for a total of 87 episodes. Those video are currently exclusively available on youtube.

Following the great popularity of that series of video base on the video game Rome Total War, the German Chronicle started. Since the strategy use by Attila brought a lot of question, he created this blog to give contextual information about his German Chronicles.

With the publishing of Medieval II Total War by SEGA and Creative Assembly, Attila moved to this new video game. He then created a Sicilian Chronicles compose of 17 episodes showing the learning of the game and some really nice battle.

After this exploration Attila improved the concept with the Polish Chronicles with 37 episodes, showing both the campaign and the battles with very good explanation of the strategy use and motivation behind them.

The 47 Turkish Chronicles then followed and probably were the most complete chronicles showing both the campaign level of the game and the battle. After the victory, the chronicles skipped ahead to the war against Mongols. So this Chronicles was one of the favourite and worth a look showing some useful strategy to fight the Mongols.

Finally the last chronicles from Attila was the Holy Roman Empire chronicles with 19 episode was done by democratic choice and was publish on dateyourgame.com

The move to dateyourgame.com was made to allow people to contribute to the blog and share interest about a larger diversity of video game.

The move to dateyourgame.com also mean that the Medieval II Total War blog is no longer active but still contain a lot of really useful information about how to play and we encourage you to read it and check the Archive on your Right

Enjoy the battles and feel free to leave comment =)

Hello,

I’m an avid Total War gamer, and I enjoy your blog immensely. I’m also the webmaster of www.gamertales.com, a new site containing a collection of video gaming stories, guides, and tales of adventure. I decided to display your RSS feed in our Total War blog section, and would really appreciate a reciprocal link somewhere on your site. Anyhow, if you know of any other entertaining or informative TW tales, please let me know.

Keep up the good work, and thanks.

Happy you enjoyed my blog =)

I took a look at your website seem promising. thanks for showing my rss feed but note that this blog isn't anymore updated so there probably won't be any new stuff from that rss feed in the future since this blog is currently slowly dieing and I don't plan to invest anymore time in it.

That’s a bummer, I’d hate move a blog to inactive already. Do you plan on continuing the blog when the expansions come out?

Do you know of any active total war bloggers?

Well I'm now working on Dateyourgame.com
But it's not Total War specific blog.

twcenter is the only other total war specific website i take a look at (rarely).

I don't think I will make a "chronicle" of Medieval Kingdom I'm in a Total War over dose at the moment. Creating over 400 videos of that series was a little too much if you consider the return that is mostly a lot more work with the management of the community. =)

I leave that blog open since it's 5 months of work that worth a good read. =)

I like your blog very much, it has almost everything about Total War! =)
The best and most superior on the internet!
Although your missing some factions like France, England, Moors, Egyptian Sultanate, Hungary, etc.
Keep up the good work! (Even if your on a break) ;)

That's nice the hear =)

As for other faction I probably won't do them since making that many videos is a lot of work. Think about one year of daily work just for this blog =)

Anonymous said...

ha, I think I will try to work nonstop on the rest of the factions sometimes, I can imagine how much it took you! =)

i have a question attila. i have been watching your movies for over a year and a half and had one nagging question. in medieval 2 total war i am having problems with the sound. After every couple of minutes or so it goes onto the console and the music turns off and the game is sped up to 3* normal speed. i was wondering if you had any idea to fix it. i have looked through numerous posts online and did not find any problems related to mine. TY. maybe it could be my sound card but i don't know. it is getting annoying now.

Attila said...

hmmm, maybe check for new driver for you sound card.

maybe it's a memory leak of the game.

hard to say.
I would recommend asking for official help, they may be in a better position to answer such issue.
