System Requierment For Medieval 2 Total War and current Attila hardware

Here is
The Computer I recommend as a Minimum to play Medieval II Total War

Since many people ask me that question here is the official answer.

As stated by CA on the Medieval II section of this site:

Minimum System Requirements:

Creative Assembly recommend the Windows® 2000/XP.
With a processor Celeron 1.8GHz Pentium 4(1500MHz) or equivalent AMD® processor.
512MB RAM. (i personnaly would recommend at least a gig)
8x Speed DVD-ROM drive (note the fact that they ask for a DVD)
11.0 Gigs of uncompressed free hard disk space. (that's a lot!)
100% DirectX® 9.0c compatible 16-bit sound card and latest drivers. ( that mean probably ATI 9800 and above...)
100% Windows® 2000/XP compatible mouse, keyboard and latest drivers.
DirectX® 9.0c.
128MB Hardware Accelerated video card with Shader 1 support and the latest drivers.
Must be 100% DirectX® 9.0c compatible.
Monitor must be able to display 1024x768 resolution or above.

Multiplayer:

Internet (TCP / IP) play supported, internet play requires broadband connection and latest drivers, LaN play requires Network card.

Important Note: Some cards may not be compatible with the 3D acceleration features utilised by Medieval II: Total War. Please refer to your hardware manufacturer for 100% DirectX® 9.0c compatibility.

Now from my point of View, I Recommend an ATI Radeon x1600pro 512meg of Ram Minimum This is probably the most balanced card for the moment. It doesn't worth it to buy the best card on the market for the moment because of vista, Vista will requier new hardware, so don't waste money on over expensive 3d card for Medieval 2 Total War

Current Attila Configuration

Operating System: Windows XP Professional
System Manufacturer: IBM
BIOS: Phoenix FirstBios(tm) Desktop Pro Version 2.0 for IBM ThinkCentre.
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 1022MB RAM

Card name: Radeon X1600 Series
Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc.
Chip type: Radeon X1600 Series AGP (0x71C2)
DAC type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
Display Memory: 512.0 MB

hey attila is your current configuration can work on dell pc or it dosent matter what kind of computer you have?

Attila said...

well it doesn't matter. But it depend your hardware at the same time. depend what aspect you refer to.

My config could be better, but that was the best i could afford with a price under 1000$

Anonymous said...

Hey man, my name is john im about to buy a new computer so i can play this awesome game, but i wanna buy a really nice computer so i can play the game at full graphics and stuff.

asus m2n-e
amd 5000 dual core am2
geforce 7950gt 512mb pci express
2 gb/667 ram

do you think that will do it?

Attila said...

yep that should run it without problem, but make sure you get an card to get vista when it come out. Since vista it is the next windows and should come in january

Anonymous said...

so what card do u recommend?

Attila said...

well i currently use an ati x1600pro, it's not very expensive during the time you wait for vista directx10 card to come out. of course you can't play medieval 2 total war all on high setup.

My opinion is that it doesn't worth buying a card that is over 200$ right now, since in less then a years directx10 card will come out for vista and those will be a forced change.

Anonymous said...

do you think that a GeForce 7300 GS 512mb will do? I'm not sure it has shader 1 support

Attila said...

well i would be surprise if it doesn't have it. the only important thing you must check is it a directX 9 card. If yes, it support pixel shader.

Anonymous said...

Hey attila, would a computer with 1 gig of ram and a radeon 9600 series would be a good config for MTW 2 because I will probably buy the game real soon when I get the chance.

Attila said...

yours ati radeon 9600 is a little old, might not make the game run very well... but might work. I would highly recommend you try the demo before you buy the game... This way you will know how it will work. check in the custom battle guide for the demo there is a link to download it.

Anonymous said...

Thx for the advice. I tried the demo unlaggy if all settings are at low. I'll probably buy it and then later on check for a new video card. How much cost the video card that you suggest? btw just curious do you speak french? I'm from Quebec too.

Attila said...

yep i speak french.

Si ta ati radeon 9600 marche avec le demo, ça devrait un peu mieux marcher avec la version final, qui est un peu mieux optimisé.

Si t'as des questions sur le hardware, regarde l'article sur mon site.

http://www.enjeuxvideo.com/trucs-et-astuces-jeux-pc/la-base-de-lordinateur/

je recommand un ati x1600pro, c'est autour de 175$, et j'explique pourquoi.
=)

Anonymous said...

does it have to support direct x 9.0c or just direct x 9.0 in general for me to run the game

Attila said...

just directx 9.0 since the game can run in pixel shader 1.0 (but does look good...

Anonymous said...

what settings did u have your game on? because my comps a lil better then urs so i wanna know how high i should be able to set it

Attila said...

well all is on high except shader is on medium. unit is on normal size. I think effect are on low, but not sure.

Anonymous said...

lol im trying hard difficulty like u with the venetians so far ive been excomunicated twice and destroyed milan :P

Attila said...

yeah venitian are hard faction to play, every one hate you, and the pope first... so kill the pope over and over again =)

Anonymous said...

ok im not very good with computers but i hope u can help me out. I downloaded the demo just to see if it works, but it doesnt so w.e. I'm hoping u can tell me what do i need to get upgraded.

O.K. my computer is an Emachine. it has Microsoft Windows XP. AMD Sempron Processor 3000+. 120gb hard drive. and 512mb DDR SDRAM. if im missing something just tell me =/ ty for your time. Love the chronicles =]

Attila said...

Hmmm, well if the demo doesn't work does it say why?

Also what is your 3d card?
you can see it by going into
Start, Run, enter there command, dxdiag.exe

Go in the Display tab. and Check the "name"
If it's not an ATI or an Nvidia, well that might be your problem.

If you have the pixel shader 1.1 problem.
here is the solution.

http://total-war-campaign-chronicles.blogspot.com/2006/12/pixel-shader-11-problem-and-how-to-fix.html

Anonymous said...

It says that the chip is an NVIDIA GeForce4 MX INTERGRATED GPU, so.... i dont know whats the problem =/. I ran the test and it says No Problems found. When i try the demo and the error message appears it says that the Offset is 008c1040, no clue what that means if you can help me some more it would be greatly apreciated =] merci.

Attila said...

hmm, well make sure you have latests nvidia driver... as for that error, I'm not qualifies to explain it. Sorry.
Your card might be a little old... but I'm not really a master in nvidia card. I prefer ATI because they offer better support overall.

Anonymous said...

oh well, thanks for taking your time and explaining it to me

Attila said...

your welcome =)

Anonymous said...

nice site here... anyway i read the comments on top and cant see wy we should wait to buy a card for viste when it dosent make our machines any better... only slower. so far directX10 games will of course have DX9 support and will countinue to have so for years... (DX7 lasted to COD2)

as far the X1600 512mb its not worth the cash... you can get a 7600GT for the same price and its 20fps faster on oblivion test.

Attila said...

yeah but i like ati support, and continue update to the driver.

Anonymous said...

hey i was playing medieval and i had installed t6he 1.1 patch and it was makeing my game run slow so i uninstalled it then i was going to reinstall it so it would be back at 1.00 but then when i was re installing it it said voice3.idx
cyclic redundency check data error will now abort how can i get it to completely reinstall the game and whats the problem im really frustrated with it ive tried deleteing the sega file and i did a software repair wizard restore but noting whould make it get past that error message in installation thnx

Attila said...

hmm, sound more like a "damaged, dirty cd problem".

Make sure you cd is clean... other then that i don't see, what it can be... maybe ask for help on the official forum

Anonymous said...

hi i have a question about that directx thing..what is it and do need to play the game? and btw i just bought a ATI radeon x300le 256 mb DDR vid card is that good, i think i bought the wrong card anyway lol thanks

Attila said...

Well I think with a ati x300 you should be able to run the game at medium and low graphic, but don't expect it to run with every thing at max.

I currently have an ati x1600 pro and I don't play with every thing on max

Anonymous said...

hi umm i bought the wrong card lol anyway i saw this vid card gecube radeon 9250 256 mb is that a better one and whats the 9250 mean this is so confusing :P

Attila said...

hmm an ati 9250 might be too old for the game, i would not recommend it.

Anonymous said...

I's runs MTW2 on radeon 9250, with one setting set up second-lowest.

Unlaggy, it is!

Attila said...

happy to know that, thanks for sharing, I know many people would like to play the game without having to buy a crazy expensive card =)

Anonymous said...

Hi Attila,

I like u're video's, and I'll buy the game soon.
But can u tell me wat i should buy if i wanna total-upgrade my PC.
I mean,, so i can play medieval (on high graph. maybe) and when the vista comes out which card / other systems should be the best for me.'nd maybe the price if u know =).

Also, i've got another game that I also want to play on Mid-High graph.(unlaggy offcourse)

Attila said...

well those two computer should be able to run the game (i think)
the first one could use just a little more ram. My best advise is to try the demo, that will show you if it will run it or not as you want it to run.

Anonymous said...

Hi Attila,
I luve u're Video's..
U got medieval total war 1? (+ viking invasion?).
And i've got a Quest. (MTW2) when the gates of a castle are open for fleeing soldiers .. can u rush true the gates while its open? or u must destroy it?

Attila said...

happy you enjoy my video,
To answer your question, yes you can follow them in the gate. if the gate open, sometime the gate stay close.

nihang said...

will medieval 2 total war work on windows vista ultimate?

Attila said...

probably, but I don't know how well it will run, some game work bad with vista... so try the demo first

Anonymous said...

Listen I'm a big Medieval2 fan but I don't think my dell will work. Here is the stats
512 ram
2.52 Ghz
WIndows XP Home
Pentium (R)4 Cpu
ANd one other thing I don't know ho w to check what video card is it.

Attila said...

to check all you computer setup, type
dxdiag.exe in start/run
and that will show all you need to know

I have the screen up but it dosen't say graphics. How do I check graphics?
And I am the one with the Dell.

Mr. Dell again.

I have to know how memory is in the aver age computer. And don't you think 11 gigs way too much.

Attila said...

well if by memory you refer to Ram, currently 1 gig is the minimum. 2 gig is recommanded, and 3 gig and over is if you can pay for it =)

Anonymous said...

Hey Attila how can you get that bar at the top of the screen as you use sometimes because i can't find it pls help :s

Attila said...

just click minimal ui, in game option, or ui option in the battle menu

hmm I would be surprise if the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 does run medieval II total war. I think this computer is a little border to run the game. If it does run the game, you probably won't have an enjoyable experience.

Unknown said...

would the NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7400 with 335MB Video RAM work with the game?

Attila said...

yeah that card should be able to run it

Unknown said...

will it run smoothly or will it have some problems? i hear that NVIDIA has some problems play medieval 2 total war? is there really a big differences from NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 and NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 by any chance?

Attila said...

Well I think you should be able to run it without problem. (in theorie). but you never can be totaly sure... I cannot really tell you much difference about Nvidia card, since i'm more an ATI user. I can only recommend you to check on forum for people with that card and see the problem they might have with it.

I prefer ATI support, reliable services and regular patch and fix for multiple games.

Anonymous said...

allright attlia. i have recenlty acquired vista and medieval 2 dosen't want to know about it. any helpful suggestions? cheers mate.

Attila said...

hmm, well in theorie it should work with vista, but never tested it. I don't plan to buy vista for a year or two because of potential problem with current games. My best advise would be to make sure you have the latess driver for you graphic card, and check on the official forum if anyone has the problem.

Anonymous said...

Hey man, my computers a bit outdated and im about to buy a new one so i could play this game. Which computer do you recommend?

Attila said...

well some of the previous config in the comment should do the job, but the best is to have a computer better then what they recommend

Anonymous said...

Disque dur SATA de 160 Go (7200 tr/min)

Mémoire vive : 512 Mo de mémoire DDR2 (extensible jusqu’à 2 Go)

Carte graphique GMA 950 d’Intel avec 224 Mo de mémoire partagée

Attila said...

ça devrais, selon ce que j'ai brievement regardé sur la carte graphic. mais disont que les cartes onboard c'est jamais ben ben recommender pour les jeux.

Test le démo d'abord, il est disponible sur le net.

Anonymous said...

C'est moi encore pis je me demandais si c'est normal que ca fait 2 mois que personne a poster sur le blog dans system requierement?

Attila said...

Anonymous said...

oh mais t'as un francais parfait et en plus tu parle tres bien anglais. Est-ce que tu es un quebecois pure???/

Anonymous said...

Attila said...

yep, je suis un québécois pure. J'ai appris mon anglais en jouant sur le net. =)

Anonymous said...

Hey atilla, would yo be able to tell me what i can buy to make the game work? I'm thinking about getting a new computer and yours works very well and its less than 1k$.Would you also be able to tell me where you bought the computer and the parts? I thank you in advance. (im not very good with computers that is why im asking you about this)

Attila said...

Check on dateyourgame.com I wrote a guide about computer part and what is good and what is not. take a look. =)

Oh ok thank you. I will browse for it.

How Would a Quad Core Intel Processor, 4 gigs of RAM, dual nVidia Geforce 8800 GTX in SLI config, windows xp work? would that be good enough or do i need more??

i got a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 Le with 256.0 MD for Ram would tat work?

Attila said...

yep it should

Anonymous said...

hey attila, i have no knowledge of computers whatsoever, but i love the total ar games. i just got a new compaq notebook and ill tell u everything: it has a intel celeron processor w/ 533 mhz/ media accelerator 950/ and video memory of up to 64 mb/ it also has 512 mb of ddr2 memory/ i mb l2 cache and 1.66 hz processor speed - and i installed medieval 2 total war and it runs very slow, is there anything i can buy to make it alot faster?

Attila said...

you probably need a better graphical card, but i don't know what to recommend for a notebook...

your computer really has the minimum to run the game so it's normal that it doesn't run well. the minimum system requierment is more a marketing tool then an effective indicator of what you need. even with the recommended system people lag.

Anonymous said...

Hi, Im running at a ATI X1050. It runs rome total war just fine but Medieval 2 is running laggy and i got everything on low. Can i use this card and get smooth results? If so how?

well it maybe would work, but unlikely... maybe make a search on the net and check if you card support pixel shaders, if not, well buy an ATI, or Nvidia card that does.

that 82945g chipset is the standard for a dell pc.i'm on here looking for advice on what to replace it with either geforce or ati.the pc is the dell dimension 5100 its about 3yrs old so dont want to be spending a lot on it.thx

will any of them two be ok?

p.s love the videos

Attila said...

well i may be able to run it, but in rater bad condition, you need a better graphic card, check the system requirement page and the count less comment under it.

Anonymous said...

what grafic card would you recommend?

Attila said...

well it depend if you want a card to play medieval or future game,

if for medieval.
an ATI 1650pro should do the job well for a cheap price.

if for future games
an ati 3850 or should do the job at a competitive price.

if you need more info check my hardware guide on http://www.dateyourgame.com/blog/gaming-computer-hardware

but note that i probably will update it in a few days for 2008 since a lot of new hardware came out.

hi attila

i have MTW2 demo and when i try to open it it doesnt open so what should i do?

Attila said...

hmm i don't know

Anonymous said...

hey attila i recently downloaded the demo for medieval II total war and it came out a bit laggy and i eard somewhere that the demo would lag a bit more then the actual game. do you know if that is true?
also if you need to know my specs

Intel core 2 duo t5250 1.5ghz(i know pretty bad -_-)

intel gma x3100(even worse)

2gb of ram

160 gb harddrive

vista home premium

i know my system seems pretty bad but the lag is only slight, so if the rumor is true then i'll be a happy boy, if not i just wasted 30 dollars -_-

p.s i love your videos man keep up the good work

Is This a good laptob and would MTW2 work on it

Ziad said...

Well in answer to anon's question and in order to ask Attila another question of my own i just want to add that i went out and got the laptop i mentioned above and i got MTW2 and Attila was right she ran like a dream. It cost me $1000 but that was here in the UAE where we have no such thing as tax.

Anyway Attila, I do have another question and its not really a comlpicated one but the game runs great on the campaign level full options and the battles are great aswell however when i zoom into a fight it starts getting a little jumpy and jittery. At the time i didnt have time to fiddle with the settings but a friend of mine told me that its normally because its the shodows on the units or there is just too much detail going on. Would it help if lowered the detail on vegetation and the units to avoid this jitteriness??

Thanx again for the help man and this game rocks!!

Attila said...

yeah lower the shadow a little or the effect and it should be fine

Anonymous said...

wats the name of that laptop cause i might buy it

Ziad said...

Its a Dell Inspiron 1520. be warned tho there are 2 models. I purchased the more powerful of the two (see above for specs). It runs Medieval 2 very well and Attila was right i lowered the shadows one setting and it now runs without a single hitch! Loving it!! Man those Mongols are tough!

Anonymous said...

thx bro

Anonymous said...

Hey Attila, i've got an imac 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1 GB 667 MHZ memory, and i bought parralels just to play medieval 2, but now i fing that i cant install M2TW on parralels, can you help?

Attila said...

hmm you maybe would be better off using boot camp that run windows like a "normal PC".

But i will try to see on a mac pro in the next few days how it work on parallels.

Anonymous said...

Hey Attila, its imac person again. I tried using boot camp but it said that the disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved. I dont know much about computers and dont know what this means, could you help?

Attila said...

make sure you have the space necessary and make sure your have a CD of Windows with the Service Pack 2

Anonymous said...

Well i have 2 probs
! i dont get a cinematic trailer
2 I get 2d instead of 3d
I have a Gforce 6200 Or i cna put in a Radeon 1600x series I am really hoppeles please tell me how to fix my (*) up 2d view!

Attila said...

hmm sound like a weird problem, maybe open you medieval2.preference.cfg file and check if it would not be an option that would have been change somehow.

You can should be able to run the game...

if that doesn't fix it... well hmmm i would recommend asking support of the totalwar.com forum.

Anonymous said...

hey attila i was wondering if you could tell me if the dell inspiron 1525 could run medieval 2 total war.

here are its specs:

-Intel® Celeron® 540 (1MB cache/1.86GHz/533Mhz FSB)
-Genuine Windows Vista ® Home Basic Edition
-Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch display (1280x800)
-CD Writer / DVD player (Combo Drive)
-1GB2 Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz
-80GB3 SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM
-Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
-High Definition Audio 2.0

if this isn't the complete information you need i'm sorry it's just a plain old inspiron 1525. not customized or anything

Attila said...

well it as an onboard card, so it may work, but may not be very enjoyable, check the hardware guide on dateyourgame for explaination

Anonymous said...

would it al least run if i set the graphics and shaders and unit scale all down to thier lowest?

Attila said...

possible, but in general onboard graphic card are not really good for games, so try out the demo and find by yourself.

Anonymous said...

I'm having a problem in the campaign menu and in the battles.. Everything's running extremly slow and choppy i can't seem to figure out the problem. But I have concluded, that it's probally not my computer's memory/or video card but maybe that it doesn't work correctly on Vista.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Attila said...

vista is known to slow down games... but globaly the campaign tend to lag... go figure why.

Anonymous said...

hey my game runs fine in campaign map but battles are choppy even with all options in game set to low. I have
1.83 Ghz processor,
1 GB Ram
224 MB memory
direct x9
not sure how to get it to run faster, have any ideas?thanks

Attila said...

lower graphical options

Anonymous said...

in METW2 when i install the game its go about halfway and then says cycle redundency check data error? what does tht mean. plus when u used to play the game it scracthed it up but i got all the scratches out, does it have to do with it???

Attila said...

hmm, a scratched dvd can't be fix... you need to replace it.

Anonymous said...

hey im using a dell deminsion E510, will the game run on that, by the way is this the same attila that makes all the awsome total war vids on youtube

Attila said...

yep it's the same Attila =)

As for the computer it's hard to say since the content isn't clear. So you should try the demo and see by yourself.

Anonymous said...

Hey attila, how do you check system configurations?
PS: I'm a NOOB.

Attila said...

in you menu, Start, run, type dxdiag

that show most of the stuff you need to know

Anonymous said...

hey attila,i dont no whats the problem everytime i go to play a battle in medieval total war 2,its painfully slow.i have a windows xp geniune intel(r) cpu 2160@ 1.80GHz(2 cpu's),2 gigs of ram a NVIDIA GEFORCE 8300 gs graphics card 512mb.and a 16bit sound card.is that not good enough?the computer automatically puts the game settings to high everytime?but when i play it is awfully slow!any suggestions?thanks!

Attila said...

turn off shadows

Anonymous said...

hey attila, when playing M2TW battles are extremely slow, i looked at some of the other posts and ran the DxDiag and here's what it said:

Operating System: Windows XP Professional
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz
Memory: 1014MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c
Card name: Intel(R) 82945G Express
Chip type: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
Display Memory: 224.0 MB

by reading other posts, it seems like i may need a better graphics card, is that what you would suggest or is there something else i can do? thanks.

Attila said...

well turning out shadows help, other then that a new card may be a good idea.

You can alway read my hardware guide there, http://www.dateyourgame.com/blog/gaming-computer-hardware

that should help you figure out what you need

Anonymous said...

Hi !
Please tell me can i play this game wid this configuration below??

Operating System: Windows XP Professional
Processor: Intel Pentium CPU 2.80GHz HT
Memory: 1024MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c
Card name: Geforce Fx 5200
Display Memory: 128 MB

Attila said...

possible but try the demo first

Anonymous said...

Attila, hopefully you can answer this question for me. I want to buy Medieval 2, and here are my specs:
-3GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
-1.83GHz Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor4 T5550 (667MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache)
-ATI Radeon HD 2600 Graphics with 512MB GDDR3 Dedicated Memory
Now, I'm pretty sure I have enough RAM and the ATI Radeon 2600 is adaquate enough. But what about the processor? Will that slow everything to a crawl? Or will it just be moderately laggy? Also, do you think Vista Home Premium will lag it down even more?

Thanks.

Attila said...

you should be fine

Anonymous said...

Thanks :)

Anonymous said...

hey, my name is Cody i have a computer but it can bearly play rome total war and it doesnt let me go on the battles for some reason so im thinkin that maybe its too old or something for medival total war 2 because wen i downloaded the game it said pixel shader not supported. so im thinking about buying a new pc cause i need one anyway and am wondering wat you would sugest for me to buy to play this game?

Anonymous said...

i have a PCV-RX506 and was wondering wat video card i would need to buy to play this game. If not then i was thinking about buying a new pc and was wondering what kind would you suggest thats not too expensive for this game

Anonymous said...

sry i had a typo its a PCV-RX560

Attila said...

here is your answer
http://total-war-campaign-chronicles.blogspot.com/2006/12/pixel-shader-11-problem-and-how-to-fix.html

Anonymous said...

i have tryed your link but is said it cant find it

Anonymous said...

nvm i got it, so this ATI Radeon X1650 Pro 512MB AGP Graphics Card is compatible with my pcv-rx560?

Attila said...

well that should do it for a cheap price. (make sure you board is agp or pci)

this guide may help
http://www.dateyourgame.com/blog/gaming-computer-hardware

but i think in the end maybe you should think about buying a computer for gaming, base on advice from the guide above.

Anonymous said...

well it says is has a 4x AGP nVidea TNT2 M64, so im guessing thats the video card is has now, which is AGP
and if i decide to buy the video card that u suggested, what level do you think i could run the graphic settings at?

Attila said...

well if you turn off shadow, you should be fine at medium

Anonymous said...

hey attila
i got the gold edition recently
I have 1 gig of RAM so its enough. I have enough hard disk space.
My graphics card is 128 MB so its enough
I got directx9.0c
And i have a 3.3 Ghz processor, with XP pro on it.
During the campaign turns it runs smoothly, just in battle mode it lags very badly, can you help??

my graphics card is a ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 series, 128 MB.

Attila said...

lower graphic, (like shadows)

or buy a graphic card since those are not that good for gaming.

Anonymous said...

Kingston KVR533D2N4/2G Valueram 2GB 533MHz PC4200 DDR2 RAM Non-ECC CL4 DIMM / Computer Memory is this good enough to put in a pc and run game smooth. i have appropriate graphics card just on large battles it lags and graphics arent that different to rome, why is a card needed for this then

Attila said...

it use pixel shader

Anonymous said...

Hi, i have both Medieval 2 and Kingdoms, and my computer meets the minimum requirements, but i want to play the game on high detail, but I think my video card is too weak. My processor is Intel 3.2 Ghz. I have 3.0 Gigs of RAM and Windows XP Pro. And I have an ATI Radeon 128 mb video card. I don't think this video card will be able to handle the game, so i am thinking of buying a new one. Do you think an NVidia GeForce 8800GTS would run the game in high detail? And how do i know if I have a PCI-Express slot in order to put the video card in? How do i find out what type of motherboard i have. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks=)

Anonymous said...

Great website you have here.

Attila said...

you should be fine with a 8800, as for pci check the links from my hardware guide

Attila said...

max maybe

Anonymous said...

would that be wit a huge unit scale?

Anonymous said...

would i be able to have that with a huge unit scale?

Attila said...

probably

Anonymous said...

hey. its the guy with the mac book again. iv just heard some rummors that bootcamp on mac will lower the perfromance of games. is this true?

Attila said...

normaly no

Anonymous said...

well do you know in what type of sittuation would bootcamp slow down perfromance?

Attila said...

maybe what you heard was about paralelle and VMware. as for bootcamp should not have noticable impact. But note that you will need to buy a copy of windows.

Anonymous said...

yes i am aware. thankyou for your help
