Medieval II Total War Polish Chronicles 19 Turn 71 to 72
Here are the last 3 episode of the Polish Chronicles.
At that point in the campaign all my fronts advance more then before. On the West my campaign against Danish is going well. In Italy My force advance toward Venice and will take it.
This battle was basically a charge against the enemies. I had more archers, but the enemies had artillery making them stronger then me. So I charged as fast as possible under the artillery fire and flanked them at the same time, leading to a victory.
This battle is interesting on the tactical level. I first defend, knowing that I will be attacked on the rear. So once the first army is destroy, I rush on the other side and use once again the bridge to my advantage and allowing me to capture Venice at the same time =)
Ok, that's all for the Polish Chronicles people. Now before every one start asking, what next! Well it will be a Turkish Chronicles. But I plan to take a small break first since those chronicles take a lot of time to do. So stay calm no panic!

Since I have got M2TW I have been playing around with differnt factions but haven't really bothered going past about 15 turns but because of you atilla I have decided to play a Polish campaign :D. Any tips?
hehe, well hmmm. The first and most usefull advice, DON'T trust your infantry.
The second advice is to invest in polish mounted knight, and crossbow cavalry. And trow all you ammo before charging the enemies.
Be warn, polish are a hard faction to play. =)
Started watching your chronicles very recently and have learned quite a bit from them. Thank you for taking the time to publish all of this, and I look forward to seeing you deal with the mongol/timur invasions as the Turks.
Thanks for your feedback, that's alway nice to see that my work is appreciated. =)
...and here's another grand campaign finished, this was particulare great because you teach how to move your troops into battle and in the tactic map, how to control cities and castles and how to think in M2TW- It would be nice if you do something like this in the turkish chronicle, but first, rest a bit =)
yeah, a small break can't hurt =)
atilla your stuff is great but maybe you should make a small written guide on what stuff to build to keep the money going and getting more powerful armies.. i think itll help :D
Hey Atilla everytime i play my alliances get from so-so to poor/terrible, and keep getting worse. am i supposed to keep giving my allies money for them to be satisfied ?
Yeah maybe I should soloed. The hard thing is to know what peoples want to know. As you might imagine, when i play i make some thing that I don't even think about, base on experience. So tell me what you want to know and then i can write about it =)
Hmmm Shawn, well you can improve your relation by marriage of a princess with the ally generals. But i think diplomatic relation depend the difficulty level. I alway play at very hard, and it's basically alway war against every one on all front.
One thing is sure, when you are ally, try to fight the enemy of your ally, and choose the side of the ally with the most ally. This way you can form block against other block.
like talk about stuff like for example 1 i build farms 2 i build chruchs 3 i build fortress and stuff like that
Yeah, I could alway explain that, but one thing i will specifies, is that strategy depend the context. what is true for some context might not be wise in other context.
YAYY atilla i beat the game with venice :D what faction should i try next
well, a faction that you like ;)
The strategie guide could be interesting just like soloed said it would be nice a what to build first when you capture a city guide. Also, Great job man. Finally I started a campaign with venice and if youd take a sec or two to look at the battle statistic http://img207.imageshack.us/my.php?image=medieval220061230170626um0.png
fought at medium but I am pretty proud. keep it up :)
whoa wooter were you defending or?still great job
I was defending hehe If I was attacking I would be ashame.
I mean it would be suicide to take the settlement with 600 units while defender had 1600. Unless your very good or you cheat :P
Yeah nice job wooter seem to have been a great battle. =)
I agree with you with the siege. 600 soldier to assault is a little crazy.
Hmmm maybe i should try that one day ;)
lol atilla you screenshot it and its like
atilla: men lost:0 men killed:1600
milan:men lost 1600 men killed:0
hehe, well hmm might be posible. but no lost would be surprising. I'm not that confident ;)
I think I woulda had less lost if they didnt break my gate, then again I am not sure I woulda kill that many. When they breached my gate the Ai sent all his troops to get the walls and his general to the plaza. My two general unit took care of him. Lost one of my generals. you should try it 3 units of spear 2 units of archer and 2 generals body guard versus couple units of town watch, peasents, crossbow, also a general and one thingny that gives morale. They had 1 siege tower 1 ram and 1 ladder. No exp bonus at start I recall.
well by the description you do, I think a strategy that might have work is to send your general outside the gates to attack the ram, and ladder. then pull them back and let the enemies attack only from the tower on one wall. this way you might have been able to kill them one by one... if the tower don't get destroy first...
well actually all there army was just behind there ram like this
oDDDDDDDDDD
o= ram D= detashment of troops
so if I had sent my general I am pretty sure they woulda probably killed him. Coulda worked maybe.
well in a quick hit and run, he might have survive =)
Attila, attila, attilla, did you have to finish the game so soon :D
I wanted to see you conquer america, cause i haven't seen anyone do that and i would like to see the aztecs. You would probably slaughter them all :D.
You should do a video showing off the various artillery pieces.
what is your favourite faction in the game??
Mine is the Byzantines(I won the game with them)
yeah I think i will make a mini campaign of the conquest of aztect territory. But here we are speak of a long time...
Hey attila here is another one. Its on Constantinople VERY well defendent city might not be that impersive as the last one but it has a big impact on the campaign map because the remains of that turkis army disbanded (Failed Jihid.) I was defending... maybe the Ai shoulda made 6 siege tower instead of 5 extra rams...

And for the aztec campaign you should continue one of the chronicles ,sicily or poland, without filming them ontill you can go to america.
well that was a good victory from what I see =)
Nice job!
As for the Aztec. I have time to think about it. =)
You should wear a microphone and add commentary while you play, explain your thoughts, tactics, etc.
Either way, looking foward to your next one.
Yeah, I will probably do that in the future I'm waiting to have the money to buy really good headphone. So you guys will be able to know how bad I actually speak English. ;)
Wow, i had a battle exactly the same as your last one! As Spain i was in a forest in front of a bridge and i was shooting down any approaching HRE troops. When they were almost completely annihalated i turned to fight the second HRE army that had quickly made it into the forest but had not managed to cause any damage.
That was my second best victory :)
must have been a cool battle =D
Hey, i am struggling to play as venice. I have a low amount of money every turn and dont know what to do. Where should i try and conquer first?
for money, build farm, port, market, etc.
as for conquest, it's very hard to say. depend the context.
