Medieval II Total War Turkish Chronicles 23 The Trap

This siege is the result of my previous organize retreat. The enemy Mongols reach my city weaken, and get kill to the last. Simple but effective strategy. As you all saw, see, and will see. =)

Hi again. I'm really considering just leaving the damn trebuchets home. Last time I used them in a pitched battle, it went horribly wrong.

I had about 5 trebs, and I shot for a while at the enemy, but they never hit anything, even when I aimed in their middle.

the milanese advanced, and my main force of spearmen engaged them in the front (they were pretty tough with much armour upgrades)

then my swordsmen militias charged the left flank of the enemy.

Now my cavalry contignent attacked their right flank with my 10 dread 8 star King.

Now I ordered all my trebs to shoot far back at the crossbowmen, I also disabled fire at will, to ensure that they'd aim a bit further from the melee.

Well the first fricking naptha bomb hits just before my King, and the flaming liquid burns him throughoutly.

"Im awestruck by your godly accuracy dear mr.Trebuchet :D!"

Next time I will only use the most accurate of weapons, like basilisks and the catapults/ ballistas...

Hmm monkey_32492 what is JHI?

Man steelpanther88, that seem to have been a very bad battle indeed... Trebuchets really doesn't aim well... they are mostly usefull against wall and tower... other then that they are dangerous for you own troop...

I'd like to ask one thing. "how am I able to do peace?" I've tried payment, give region and etc. things.

At current moment I'm almost surrounded. I'm in war againts Polish, Danish, Venice, Sicily and Milan.

I can understand why the polish disagree with peace since I slaugthered (<- don't know hot to ecxatly spell it anyway...) 4/5 of their army. And also now the pope says that if I make some military operations againts 'em I will be excommunicated...

So now I must just defend my regions. No problem in there because I've watched almost every Attila's vid and learned lot of them. Until now haven't lost any battle. Thanks to Attila and his videos.

But even if I can hold my ground, peace in some fronts would be nice. So I could concentrate my troops to some front to destroy enemies one by one.

Hmm by the look of what you describe, you are not popular with the pope... my advice would be... assasinate the pope, that will bring you back into a good relation with the next pope.
When you are in good relation with the pope, peace will be easier to make.

Or you could take a more war like path...
Destroy as many of your enemy until you have no more faction in war against you...

You could also reduce the pressure on your front by sending a "raiding army" that go behind enemy line, attack badly defended city, pillaging them, and making chaos on that front, so that you can concentrate on other front...

Of course that's not really peacefully...
As you can imagine I'm not a great adviser when it come to make peace ;)

Bonjour mon ami:
