Medieval II Total War Turkish Chronicles 24 Counter Attack

(hmm seem the video for some weird reason have some bug...)
At that point in the campaign the advantage switch side, the Mongols now weaken are producing normal units, and without all the original experience of early Mongols army, Mongols are no better then any faction, So I engage then like I would for any other enemies. So even without over whelming force, or elite troops, I can take back all that was lost. Of course there are still many Mongols armies to weaken, but now I can conquer back the East.

hey, its me yoeeb, I need help, really bad. My Greek empire in RTW is collapsing, My cities are growing to big eg. 50,000 + population, leading to massive riots, and rebelions, which are draining my treasury too much, the britons are extremeley strong, the only way i can hold em off is that narrow pass with the bridge near erm... i think its mandelonium, even there, my armies are being beaten back by british chariots and woad warriors, since i can only trin spartans in sparta, its alot of hassel to get them down to my eastern front.. in the north, germania is pillaging my lands, disrupting trade income and agriculture. In my african front the cartheginians are moving in across that small gap south of cyrene, i dont know how long my armies there are going to hold there. Also i have my 8 star faction leader stationed down there for help against the damn elephants. My Empire Consists of 53 regions, I dont know how long its guna last b4 it all collapses into rebelion and being taken over by rival factions... WHAT CAN I DO!!!

wow yoeeb that seem an apocalyptic situation!
(by the way choose other identity, you will be able to use your name)

It's hard to propose an addacted strategy to fix all that. But I think you could use one I call. "Fighting Rebellion by making sure they happen"

What I mean by that is that you make sure that a city rebel with one of your army near. The city rebel, that's when your army move in take the city back and pillage it killing the population.

The impact of such strategy is to make you rich from the pillage, and it allow you to make "population controle". Pushing back any future rebellion in that city. So When I city is unstable, make it rebel and kill those who rebel.

as for the war against britan, well fight them on bridge or attack them in cities. Maybe take a ship and flank the front and attack them behind enemy line, that will force them of react and weaken the front, so that all your army have a clear path to conquer them.

As for Carthage, well multiple line of phalanx should take care of those elephant. So make deeper formation.

Instead of producing spartan, make armored hoplite, they are produced faster and do the job well, spartan are really powerful, but number is better then quality when the crisis arise.

I hope that those advice will help =)

hey yoeeb im no pro but first of all if you want to stop rebellion lose some ground bring your army back and garrison them.u should transport people from overcrowded place to less crowded place. you transport population by training peasent taking them to other cities and disaband them. if that doesnt work disband some of your units. if that still isn't enough lower the taxes.

yep that's also an other way =)

heh, well thanks for ur help, I think all empires have to fall, the bigger they are the fatser they fall, i think when i get m2tw, i will stick to less then 20 regions, much easier to control, and make plenty of alliences. I think i might be an italian faction and just control all of italy, sicily, and maybe move out into europe a little bit, I might be sicillian cos i saw how powerful they can be if you put them to a good strategy thx to attila, and the fact that u have to unlock em... well this is how i did unlock the greeks.. I used cheats... i know its very naughty, but if u realy want to play a certain faction and you dont want to waste time playing romans, beating the senate ect. =p oh and how do u make ur name appear as ur post, i can only post my comments if its under annonymous

So, your overall strategy was triumphant. I kinda freaked out, when there was 3 full timurid stacks, and 3 full mongol stacks just roaming in my lands (hungary region, but I was playing spanish).

I had over 50 territories, but not that many armies. I had already begun disbanding my armies in western europe, so my economy would rise up a bit(I could then train some of those nifty conquistadors also)

I made an alliance with the mongols, and we destroyed the timurid heir's personal warhost completely!"¤#[ :D that was awesome.

Also the aztec battles were cool. I just had these 3 elite armies (gendarmes, d-chivalrics, musketeers, basilisks...)
But the damn aztecs don't rout that easyly. One of my generals died instantly when he was charging with 200 gendarmes to some coyote priests in a siege. Maybe a spanish musket bullet hit him in the head or something...

I noticed that gunpowder sucks against aztecs, except in sieges. But I used 190 free-company-longbowmen, they absollutely murdered all natives. They always killed more than 200 aztecs per battle.
I can only imagine what retinue longbowmen would have done to them.

Yeah making the Mongols fight timurid is a good thing, but i think the Mongols will be long gone by the time timurid come ;)

As for the Aztec, found it pointless to go conquer the new word, It's expensive, it's long, and make population think you king is crazy... So I don't think the new world is my priority anymore...

I also considered your strategy against the mongols in my new turkish campaign. But since I somehow started getting 17K florins per turn after trade agreements with milan venice and egypt, I decided to just spam some serious stacks near Yerevan, baghdad and tblisi. I had constantinople, durazzo, Iasi, bucarest, iraklion, rhodes, cypros and naturally the holy land, and all of turkey.

Eventually the mongols came from yerevan. I personally destroyed all the cavalry from the faction heirs army with a full sipahi archer force, and also a balanced full stack.

Then I just rushed my 5 remaining armies to Yerevan, and my total forces in east were 7 full stack armies, I actually outnumbered the mongols by thousands!! XD

The 2 vs 1 stack battle was laggy as hell though, so I tried to just auto the battles, I had 6 fricking-full stacks, against the silver chevroned mongol khan's stack. The Odds were' against ME!!?? I was like WTF, I had 6500(including 1800 horsearchers) men vs about 1000 mongols... No way in hell could the mongols have won that battle, so I cheated with the auto win, because my comp would'nt handle that many troops.... :(

I would have liked to play that battle on battlemap

hehe, well the thing is that mongols have some very "cheated" troops, they are VERY boosted in experience, and in the game it's rare that 1 unit even reach that experience even after 50 battles.
