Shogun Total War Trailer and mini Guide
Here is a trailer that was made for Shogun, I think it show many aspect and principle that are the core strategy concept behind the creation of this series of game. There is also many strategic advice. So I think it's a good thing for every one to watch this to learn or refresh some strategy principle.

i used to play this all day, i wonder what the next game will be?
imperial total war? or ww1 total war? i hope its the second one
seeing that vid shows you how games have moved on it just amzing how they have change,
ww1 total war i don't think that would be possible
well my guess would be an China (asia) Total War.
But I must say I think a World War II Total War, would be possible to make, I have the concept in my head. ;)
The thing is... I think most Total War fans actualy like the concept of sword wars. So I don't know if Creative assembly would Risk to annoy some fans by switching to Gun age.
Maybe Napoleonic Total War would be a first move toward that...
But I can easily conceptualize a Total War in any era easy.
I think a World War II Total War (and modern total war) would take a lot more of AI programming, and I wonder if CA would invest in that now. Or they could import the AI from Close Combat ABTF. ;)
I think world war one is not really likely... it's not what I call a popular war period... they use old tactic against modern weapons... it's a big massacre. Could be interesting... but risky in sales, and money is every thing...
