You can acquire Adobe Premiere using less honorable means than paying for it, by the way. :)

Yeah, but I won't encourage it or help it, Author right need to be respected. (even if that tool if far too expensive)

I think if you really want a good movie making tool you need to buy a Mac and Use IMovie.

Several comments here to help people trying to break into this. I have some thoughts of my own having just started down this path on my own.

1. Dont start with video clips. Video is tough. Start with still frames. If you dont want to do a voiceover, use only music for audio. Make a music video if you want. The goal is to make a functioning video.

2. Using codecs is the toughest part for me so far. Figuring it out has been trial and error because I dont know what the hell I am doing. Be prepared to sink some time into this.

3. Try to focus on improving a handful of things each time you make a video. Dont try for a perfect outcome right away. Chip away at it.

Yeah. Very good advice.
Making videos is a skill that increase as you create them, As people might have seen my videos have a lot improved over time, starting from simple videos, To more standardize type of videos montage.
